About Me

My name is Jasmine and I am the mom who created Belly to Baby.


I designed this website to help people like myself when I had my first baby.  Having a baby is such a big life change which is often ignored in literature.  It is easy to feel overwhelmed and alone.  I hope by blogging about the experience here that I not only feel less alone, but you too.

Pregnancy is a strange and wonderful time in any woman’s life, especially the first time.  I think if you know all the facts, then it is easier to focus on the wonderful parts of pregnancy rather than dwelling on the negative.

I have two small children who are 1 and 3 so it is not long ago that I went through this process.  I remember what it is like to go from no children to one and then two.  It is hard work.  I remember some very hard, distressing moments, but there were also many wonderful moments.  Now that my kids are a bit older, and sleep a bit better, I have gained some perspective which I hope I can share here to help you.  If you have any questions or feedback from me, I would love to hear from you.

I hope to blog about all things pregnancy and baby related.  From what it is like to be pregnant to those first moments with a new baby to working out what crib to buy, I want to make things easier for new moms.  Please let me know if there is any specific topic you would like me to write about.

    I saw somewhere listed about a List of Things to Eat when all you want to do is vomit. Or something like this?
    I would appreciate this lead to help my daughter who is really sick in her 1st trimester.
    I look forward to hearing from somebody.

      Hi Alina! I find this varies so much from woman to woman. What worked for me was simple plain carbs – like a baked potato or salty crackers. The first trimester can be horrible. I hope your daughter is feeling better now.
